The idea for this website originated with the late Victor Gray MBE, when he was chairman of the Suffolk Records Society, shortly before his death in 2021. We very much dedicate this website to his memory and hope we have fulfilled his vision of a useful and straightforward introduction to Suffolk’s history and the societies that work to keep that history alive.
The Suffolk History Hub is a joint project of Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History, Suffolk Records Society, and the Suffolk Archives. The main editor is Tanya Christian (SRS), with help from Keith Briggs (SIAH). Website hosting is funded by SIAH.
